This is the bag the Lahu Na make for themselves and the quality shows. The basic heavy black cotton bag is edged with predominately black, red and white cotton strips folded into geometric patterns. The double row of scalloping in red and white is de rigueur. The strap is handwoven on backstrap looms and finished with rows and rows of elaborate pompoms and tufting. Not a bag for wallflowers!
